This charming breakfast and coffee spot is a shining gem between KC and Columbia!The food was great and my wife thought so too! I highly recommend the Breakfast Panini and Biscuits with Apple Butter! The baristas used messenger coffee beans out of KC area, and the coffee was solid. But the Breakfast is the true standout here with a nice variety to the menu, and high quality items. Glad to have found this spot. Hope to be back soon!

TLDR: The coffee is tasty everytime and atmosphere is good but the customer service is terrible.The coffee here is great and I love supporting a small local business. There's also a cute little dog and a they have some rotating seasonal menu items. My issue is that I have allergies and anytime I ask if a something has dairy in it (an extremely common food allergy) the response makes me feel stupid and belittled. Today was the THIRD time this has happened so it wasn't like they were just having a bad day. I'm not sure how simply asking if something contains dairy is irritating but in my opinion even if it you were annoyed you could at least try to pretend you're not upset with someone who is giving you their hard earned money. You work in the food industry, sometimes people might have questions about food.

After viewing their website, I ordered the tater tot casserole (half) and a side of gravy to add to breakfast I cooked at home.The gravy is what most people refer to as “dirty gravy.” It literally tasted like the flour roux from the pan it was made in, with pepper added. I poured it over my homemade biscuits and had to throw the plate in the trash. It was horrible.The tater tot casserole was literally 4 ounces. (Yes, I weighed it.) It was seasoned on the heavier side, although it was good. (I cook with a fair amount of seasoning, but not quite THIS much.)For the amount of food I received, it’s easy to say the prices are high. Nor is the quality much. 👎🏻

Just here for one night visiting so I stopped by to grab a quick coffee. By far THE BEST coffee I’ve ever had 😍 I got the angel cake iced summer special. Employees were also super nice and friendly! Service was fast 10/10 recommend

Quaint breakfast restaurant with an outdoor seating area and deck, also inside seating. Delicious biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, and bumble 🐝 coffee was top notch! I myself enjoyed the regular coffee unlimited. Highly suggest you stop here for breakfast or lunch when in the area.

We arrived under an hour before closing. The staff was very friendly, lots of smiles and laughs in a totally Zen atmosphere. The food was delicious, and came out fast. What a great place to eat. We had leftovers that we had for dinner that night. The Engineer Sandwich was great.

Went here for a little Saturday morning coffee and breakfast date! It’s a fun little spot about 30 minutes west of Columbia. Not a large area for seating but had plenty of room while we were there. Got a peanut butter blender, cinnamon roll and breakfast burrito. All good food and quick service! Was a great spot to sit, talk and chill for a bit. Check it out!

Funky, fun little place next to the train depot’s Rivers and Rails Museum. Large selection of coffee and tea drinks as well as smoothies and blenders.Biscuits and gravy were on point, peppery but not overly so, didn’t have to add anything.Fun, friendly and efficient staff. Cool, eclectic decor.Outside upper deck seating if that’s your think, but at 90° and 72% humidity I chose an air conditioned inside table. 😁

Stopping at this place was definitely a joy on our Katy Trail trip! It is right next to the trail in town and is the perfect stop for all bikers. They have put a lot of effort in making the place a fun and unique coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. We actually stopped in on a day that they were closed, but the shop was technically open because they were catering for a group. They were especially kind to us and wanted to take our order even though they weren’t open to the public! I would have rated it 5 stars, but the coffee seemed like it was a bit watery. Great stop though! If I am riding through ever again, I will need to come back!

Derailed is a charming little coffee shop and cafe. They have indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating, including tables with umbrellas for a little shade. The owner was so nice and keeps a pretty garden around the cafe.I tried one of their yogurt bowl daily specials, which came with Greek yogurt, fruit and, I believe, a cinnamon granola. It was delicious, and I’d eat it again for sure. My husband liked his breakfast burrito, and the coffee was great, as well.We also saw lots of people coming in and out with orders, so it’s definitely a popular place in town. I’d recommend it.

Such a cute place with great lattes, panini sandwiches. Look forward to trying more items on the menu. Great friendly staff and there is plenty of parking on the street or around the corner at the trail entrance.

We came for breakfast and lunch on the same day. Service was great, and so was the food! We got the breakfast burrito, quiches, the kids yogurt bowl, and a smoothie for breakfast. Everything was made fresh, with simple, quality ingredients. We told the owner we'd be back for lunch. She told us she occasionally closes early if noone is coming in at lunchtime, but she stayed open to wait for us. How awesome! It is a quaint little eatery right off the Katy Trail with fun little activities for the kids. We haven't gotten our lunch yet, but so far, this has been a great experience.

This place is a must-stop when riding the KATY or visiting Boonville. We walked over from the Hotel Frederick. Our coffee was delicious. The Chai and hazelnut lattes were perfectly done this morning. The quiche puts Panera to shame.

Great experience with the family. The sandwiches were incredibly good. The pulled pork sandwich was something like you've never had. I would go back.
